My Kids, Muck Boots, And The Winter Snow

| February 2, 2010

My kids love playing outside in the winter, especially whenever there is five feet of snow.  Nevertheless, I really don’t know of one mom that has had a straightforward time getting high quality winter weather boots for their little ones.  If your kids love to have fun outdoors in the snow and mud like mine do, keeping them comfortable and dry can be almost impossible!  Typically by the time my children wander back inside, their little feet are usually frozen solid.  Yet this doesn’t happen anymore, not since they started putting on Muck Boots.

Nowadays, the kids can go outside for long periods of time and really get down to business building his or her snow forts.  Practically nothing could be more fun than burrowing an enormous pit in the edge of a backyard snowbank and hiding inside.  I’ve by no means happen to be inside an actual igloo, but if they build the fort big enough for me then I can’t reject climbing inside to check it out!  Digging a hole in a snowbank requires time, however, and keeping yourself warm long enough so you can get the job done has often been a challenge.  Muck Boots are thermal insulated to help keep those little toes toasty for as long as it requires in order to complete the job.

Muck Boots in fact contain a totally sturdy rubber construction, making these One hundred percent water resistant.  While I’ve heard this claim before about different boots I have ordered for my little ones, I’ve in no way found this to be correct before.  I didn’t believe this was even likely with a childrens boot, however Muck Boots really solves the problem of getting a water resistant boot.  And, whenever my kids take off their Muck Boots (yes, they are able to get this brand off all by themselves), their toes are still warm and toasty inside—their toes are without doubt the last thing to get cold at the moment!  The stretch-fit topline binding fits snugly on the calf, keeping snow from piling inside, but allowing complete freedom of movement during any igloo developing, climbing, or running that might occur.

One of the wonderful issues about the Muck Boots for kids is that they not just work great in the cold and snowy conditions, however whenever early spring arrives and all that beautiful snow turns the yard in to a massive mud pit, these same boots work like a charm.  They will keep the mud and wet out beautifully, and they are super simple to clean up, all I have to do is hose them off.  Again, that solid rubber engineering makes them the ideal choice for any outside situations.

I will not settle for getting the discounted, generic rubber boots for my children ever again.  I’ve finally discovered some boots which i can trust and keep them comfortable and dry when they have fun outside.  There are several Muck Boots kids’ models to select from, based on what you need.  Kids need to be playing outdoors more, in any case, and I know that the kids are playing outside this winter more than ever, now that they stay warm and dry longer.  Muck Boots has made this possible!
